With FXEN Turck introduces block I/Os for Profinet in degree of protection IP67 on this year’s SPS/IPC/Drives fair in Nürnberg. Thanks to the integrated autocrossing Ethernet switch, the modules can be setup in a line topology which provides higher flexibility with respect to planning. The FXEN supports Profinet Real-Time(RT) communication, which is optimised according to the cyclic interchange of I/O data. The XSG16 version features 16 digital channels, which can be configured either as input, output or inverted input according to the requirements.
The new block-I/Os support configuration and parameterisation on the basis of the open FDT/DTM standards. The Ethernet connection of the vibration and shock resistant modules is done via 4-pole, D-coded M12 round connectors, whereas 5-pole M12 connectors are used for the I/Os. The working temperature for the modules lies between 0 and 55 °C.
