  Extension of RFID system
Very tough: The new RFID read/write head with a sensing range of 500 mm is ideal for application in rough environments, as e.g. in the sector of intralogistics -- PDA Handheld Reader (right)

Turck will present further novelties concerning the BL ident system for high temperature RFID applications on the SPS/IPC/Drives fair in Nürnberg. Thus the sensor, fieldbus, connectivity and interface specialist offers, apart from a new handheld reader on PDA basis, a read/write head with a large sensing range of 500 mm for industrial applications. The read/write head combines antenna and electronics in one device which makes it especially resistant to interfering radiation.

The compact and flat housing (350 x 350 x 25 mm) in degree of protection IP67 enables application in numerous industrial fields. The usage of the read/write head is ideal for large overtravel ranges or where large read/write distances are required. A good example for application would be situations where data needs to be read out from a tag that is attached on the bottom side of a vehicle.

With the new handheld reader on PDA basis Turck offers an economic solution which is ideal for maintenance and service applications. Capable of processing Philips-I-Code-SL2(SLI) and FRAM data carriers, the Turck handheld is unique on the market with this feature and available either with integrated or external antenna.
